Tungsten, known for its extraordinary strength and high melting point, stands as one of the most fascinating elements in the periodic table. Discovered in 1783 by Spanish chemists, the de Elhuyar brothers, Tungsten (from the Swedish words “tung sten” meaning “heavy stone”) has become integral in various industries due to its unique properties. Tungsten is found naturally in the form of minerals such as wolframite and scheelite.
